  1. Did you know a "jiffy" is an actual unit of time? It denotes 1/100th of a second!
  2. There really is a day called “Tibbs Eve”... the day before Christmas Eve.
  3. Did you know the first hair dryer was a vacuum cleaner?  The prototype subsequently evolved into the hairdryer we know today.
  4. The province of Quebec, in Canada, produces 80% of the world’s supply of maple syrup.  In August 2012 a supply worth millions was stolen.  Police found it in October in New Brunswick.  Pancake lovers worldwide breathed a sigh of relief.
  5. Did you know that paper shredders can chew mouse cords too?!  Yessiree,  ‘Tis a fact.
